Fair Balance Placement
-
Could the fair balance be placed as a final slide in a video with sufficient amount of time to read it ?
-
Hey @marta
A linear video that is a stand alone piece, could present the fair balance at the end with sufficient time on the screen to allow the average person to read the complete content. Note that it should still appear as part of the main body copy, therefore it should not appear after logos, sign-offs or reference lists. There are however, times when aspects of the fair balance are required to be presented earlier for example, the indication is required prior to or with the first marketing message or if there is copy which requires specific balance, it would also be required on the screen at the same time.
You may find the section “Placement and visual treatment of selected fair balance level” in the Guidance on Base Fair Balance Level Selection and Placement (HCP Advertising) document helpful as well.
