Forum Update: Supporting Community-Led Discussion
The forum was created as a space for shared learning and peer support, and as the community grows, we want to lean more fully into that purpose.
Going forward, PAAB will be taking a more listening-first role in forum discussions. Rather than responding immediately to every question, we’ll be encouraging members to engage with one another, share experiences, and help build collective understanding. PAAB will continue to monitor conversations and will step in to:
- Correct any misunderstandings
- Provide guidance when questions remain unanswered after a few days
- Support discussions where official clarification is needed
Our goal is to foster a collaborative, trusted community where knowledge is shared and strengthened by everyone’s contributions.

Pre-NOC and fair balance submissions

Hello, I have a 2-part question in relation to a product awaiting NOC:

Is it mandatory to submit the 3 levels of fair balance as a separate submission to PAAB, before we can use them in different APS? Or can they be submitted as part of 3 different APS (either pre- or post-NOC) as and when they are developed?

If we do a fair balance submission for pre-NOC review, does it count towards the limit of 2 pieces permitted for pre-NOC submissions?

- It’s not mandatory to submit the 3 levels of fair balance as separate files. The respective levels can be submitted in individual files which would require them.
- Currently, it would count as part of the 2 core pieces. We are in the process of revising the pre-NOC submission guidelines. Please stay tuned for more information soon.
