Hello, I have a general question about renewal submissions and would greatly appreciate any insight you can provide.

I have 10 pieces that are currently expired (and a few that are due for expiry this month) that need to go in for renewals. However, we are expecting a minor PM update in late October/November so all of these pieces will need to updated with the new PM and resubmitted again in December. We are wondering if it is possible to get an extension on these pieces for renewal in December, rather than submitting in October and then shortly after with the PM updates in December. This would be extremely helpful in creating efficiencies and will help streamline our submissions and reviews.

    Thank you again!

      Hello @amyl

Renewals and extension requests should be submitted to PAAB prior to the APS expiring (s.1.6.D). Section 4.1 of the Guidance on Submission Process and Format Requirements outlines the requirements for an extension request. Extension requests should be limited to special circumstances and depend on many factors such as the reason for the request, whether forward-dating was applied to the original APS, and any PM updates that have occurred since the original acceptance.

As there are a number of factors to consider, we suggest submitting a formal request for extension of these APS documents using this form to review@paab.ca, for consideration of your individual circumstances.
