172 - Can we use a 2D / 3D scan tag, QR Code to carry the fair balance that may otherwise be physically attached to the collateral?

No. Fair balance must be attached to the presentation or APS. A scan tag or QR code would not meet this requirement. Health Canada confirmed recently that this also remains their current position. An APS which fails to meet the fair balance requirement may be contravening section 9.1 of the Food and Drugs Act.
