PAAB submission guidance on Paid Social Ads
-
The PAAB Guidance on Submission Process and Format Requirements document has guidance on responsive search ads, but is there PAAB submission guidance on Paid Social Ad submissions?
-
Hey @tayyeba
Can you elaborate on what you mean? Perhaps provide an example.

@jennifer-carroll apologies, I was noting that the guidance doc does not include an example submission. Is there additional guidance on paid social ad submissions, where I could see an example submission?

Hey @tayyeba
We continue to be unclear about what you mean. Is there some aspect of “social ad” that you are perceiving to render it different than all other APS? Or to render it in some way similar to “responsive ads”? The PAAB Guidance document for Online Activities provides further details specific to online forums. Our understanding of “paid social ads” are ads that are on a social forum and paid to be there.
Social media is the broad term for internet activities that engage or encourage engagement through online discussions or interactions. E.g.: blogs, microblogs (Twitter), chat rooms, forums, video/photo sharing (YouTube, Flickr), or social networking (Facebook), podcasts, user forums/discussion groups, wikis, news aggregation (RSS), apps etc. In those cases, you would submit the ad as per any other digital tool (copydeck + layout), including a description of the social platform(s) (e.g. audience and access), targeting elements and any additional features that would impact the ad functionality or access to/from the ad. If dynamic content (e.g. commenting) is allowed on the ad, you would want to familiarize yourself with the Guidance Document for Online Activities. -
@jennifer-carroll Hi Jennifer, thank you for your detailed response. I was simply wondering if there was an example of a paid social submission provided in any of the online guidance resources. From your response, I don't believe there are any.
thank you
