Repurposing or reproducing this content without written consent from the PAAB Commissioner is strictly prohibited.     PAAB provides an advisory opinion on DTCI pieces. Our guidance is provided based on our interpretation of the Health Canada policy document “The Distinction Between Advertising and Other Activities”. Preclearance of DTCI is not “required” per se (although it is recommended). However, when PAAB reviews DTCI pieces, we require to review all elements of the campaign as other elements may render the reviewed elements to become advertising.
