Afternoon @manufacturer and @Agency .
In light of questions we’ve received in recent days, we felt it would be helpful to clarify the Scope of the PAAB Code and the nature of the PAAB preclearance requirements. While we are at it, we also figured we’d provide key updates outlining what we’ve been working on to improve the preclearance system and HCP health product advertising as a whole.

Preclearance is a PAAB Code requirement for advertising that falls within the Code's scope unless it is expressly exempted from preclearance in Section 1.5 of the Code.

An internal review alone does not satisfy the Code’s preclearance requirements. This is true even if consideration of the PAAB Code standards are incorporated into that internal review.
